takes to slide on ice at over 130km/h?

Bobsled & Skeleton Australia athletes have won 69 medals across all tiers of international competition, that’s impressive for a hot nation like ours. To date, our most successful athletes have been discovered through a number of sports which complement the skills required to complete at the highest level of sliding sports.

Testing protocols

At the #PushBeyond 2026 National Talent Search Combines, our sport science team will assess your speed, power, explosiveness, and ability to be coached and how well you can adapt to the requirements of sliding sports.

The combine itself will consist of the following events.

15m Sprint
30m Sprint
45m Sprint
30m Sprint (Fly)

Broad Jump
Shot Toss
Vertical Jump

Athletes who attend the camp will have the opportunity to be invited to a national development camp in Canberra and put themselves in the running potentially be selected for a spot on the national team or continue their progression in North America, where they will reintroduced to life on ice.
