Sarah is another Bobsleigh & Skeleton Australia athlete with an impressive athletics pedigree, having claimed 2nd in the 2014 Stawell Gift, before breaking the 12 seconds for the 100m in 2016. In fact, Sarah qualified for the Stawell Gift final in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, being the only athlete to ever qualify to 4 consecutive Gift finals.
Sarah came across Bobsleigh when her athletics coach put her forward to test at a national talent camp where she, obviously, produced some very strong results which highlighted her future potential in the sport. When she’s not traveling to sub zero locations on tour, Sarah works for the Federal Department of Health, and is also one side of the mother daughter Blizzard Run Coaching duo. She also studied Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Canberra.
During her first season on ice, Sarah displayed the speed and power from her athletics by pushing her pilot Bree Walker to two Top 10 finishes on the Europe Cup, 16th in their first World Cup event in Innsbruck, Austria and an 11th in her second Mono Bob race as a driver.
